About the Valve cover races. I have heard about them but have never seen them in my years of going to W/C. I would like to be part of them. What does a person need to do to be part of it? What are the rules for building one? Width, length, height, weight.....ect. :dunno:

Best part of W/C is seeing folks you haven't seen for a year, and making a few new friends.
Tell me what goes on during dinner. Speakers, slide show or anything?
It's up to the hosts, about entertainment on Saturday night. There is usually (last few years anyway) some type of slide show on Friday during the social. :D
I was under the impression that the convention was a convention, meaning that I would have to sit and listen to people talk the whole time.

I wouldn't enjoy going if it were nothing but a bunch of windbags!! :D

And it's a very good time! :D

I know Cascade Offroaders used to have a track (they still might have it). I've still got my valve cover racer :D . I'll see about the track, but theres no guarantee's.
Hey Ron if you go to the front page of the web site
http://www.pnw4wda.org/
you will see a link at the top of the page that takes you to an info page
It was that page and subsequent link that lead me to post all my questions here.

I would think that if the PNW4WDA wanted more people at the W/C it would have a lot more info about the W/C on the front page and within the events section of the forums.

Those of us that have not been... do not know.

I'm actually excited about going now that I've learned more about the event. :D

Ok guys now you are asking questions about the valve cover races I dont even know how to answer! I do know it is a gravity race I dont know how long the track is but I do know there have been some very expensive wheels made at Boeing to fit certian valve covers! I saw them about 10 years ago and oh boy !!!!! 8) 8) 8) I dont know who has the track any more but I do know the organizers were looking for some one to run the race if we can get it organized!

Usually have different classes for sizes. No extra weight was allowed in some classes. Might have to dig out the old 427 cover again and dust it off :D :D

Try getting ahold of Ralph from Cascade Offroad and see what is still around, or a copy of the rules they ran.

Ron,
What stuff would you like to see added to the W/C pages? I can add them to the Region 4 page and then maybe it can get added here too.

Rick
