Suppose I should clarify.

We get between 40 and 50 new registrations on some days from registrars trying to spam the forum.
Each one has to be filtered thru so we can keep a spam free forum.

We have a pretty good record so far, only one has tricked us..:icon_lol:

Have you tried using the human verification features in vbulletin? We were under attack from the Russians until I turned on the question feature...haven't had an issue since.

If you are using the human verification features (answer a question), then how do you know if you have 40-50 spammers?
