a good muffler

okay i'm down to ordering the mufflers now because i've just about got my dual exhaust finished.
i'm looking at the super 44 series but i was wondering if any of you guys have any suggestions.
i want my 258 to sound like a 304 i guess (haha).
an aggressive sound without being too loud.
thanks!

Flowmasters are a well made product so the 44 should work fine. When I had the six in my cj I had a clifford dual header with dual turbos type muffelers on it (outlet on both sides) Didnt sound like a v8 but not a bad sound either.

I have a Borla system on my 87 XJ. Sounds great!

I have a cherry bomb on my 87 XJ, not what I'd prefer to run but it was what I could afford when my old muffler gave up.

Only problem with "cherrybombs" and other straight thru type mufflers is that their not legal on FS or DNR land unless you add a spark arrestor to them.

FS is not really pushing it down here yet, but it will be coming. If it is not baffled, it is a ticket in WA, and a possible in the other states.

Please note: There is no way to add a screen to a muffler on a licensed vehicle to make it spark arrestor compliant. An approved muffler must be used. You can do the research it's like only 265 pages which say you can't add a screen unless it's stamped as USFS approved.
