old/ new forum question

If it's been answered in another thread I apologize. Will the old forum be locked, and left as a read only part of the site? Will the information be tranfered to this forum?
I'm only asking because I believe it's could become a problem if people continue to post in both locations, and information could be overlooked by people not checking both forums (did that make sense?)

The old one will be archived and posting should be closed. Because its differant software the posts cant be transferd except by copy and paste of the text. If theres something there that you want here just open a new thread and copy and paste the info over.

Region Sections

Is there going to be seperate threads or subjects for each Region as in the old forum - or am I not seeing them somewhere?
If so, are each going to be able to have sections within them for various subjects?

Great job on the new forum BTW.

Thanks - PR

The old forum should be turned off for new posts the day this forum opened.

Several people have already discussed how vBulletin has a tool to transfer the Mysql database from other forums like phpBB into vBulletin but it may not be a perfect transfer do to forum sections.

There are also skins, themes or styles depending on which software you are talking about that are available mostly free. Take for instance this forum looks like a standard forum with some color changes to tables but no one has updated the pictures, icons and buttons to match so it looks like a beginer website. Anyway this has all been discussed on the old forum... HTH
