Northwest 4x4 users survey

Hello fellow PNW'ers.

A group of us in Whatcom County have been working to gauge the varying interests of 4x4 users around Northwest Washington. After seeing whats happening at Reiter, we think it'd be good to get some good metrics to throw at DNR in regards to ORV use.

Please take a moment to fill this out, your information is confidential, and personal information is optional.

Thanks!

Done. You may want to clarify your rating system on the location area. is
"a" the first choice or last type of thing for where you want to go.

If you get a good return on this I know I would appreciate getting a copy of the results when finished.

yup, we'll get the results tabulated and posted up when its over, probably around may 1.

The location rating is supposed to be a 'grading system'.. so A is the best, and D is below average. It didn't allow for a sixth column, elsewise I'd have F there too =P

So I'm kind of curious of who the ORV Alliance is........and what they are about.

This is what bothers me......

"If you'd like more information about private ORV park opportunities, or to join in the cause for an ORV park in NW washington, please give us some details below."

I think the idea of private orv parks is great - IF WE HAVE NO OTHER OPTION. But I'm not going to show my support of something like that UNTIL I have NO other wheeling areas available to me.

I would much rather put my money towards donating and volunteering to the forest service or DNR or BLM or towards fighting to keep our trails open to the public.

But the last thing I want to convey is that I would rather spend my money on a private park than do the things that I am doing. This just makes me think of a lot of other states that don't have open wheeling areas. That is not what I want.

In my opinion letting it be known that we as wheelers would be "ok" with paying fees at a private park instead of our open wheeling areas is a bad idea.

I will not be taking this survey.

Any information that can go towards our sport is good information. I feel we need to let the State know how much use we really have on our trail systems. There is a lot more people using the system than they think! We tread lightly and it shows, the trails dont show as much wear as the amount of vehicles increase. This because of all the volunteer hours put in and the fact that more users are practicing tread lightly! I dont really want to go to dedicated OHV parks and pay a daily use fee, but I feel the state needs to know how much use they are really experiencing!:BANGHEAD2:
