Dedication of "Washington Volunteer 4x4 Trails Area" (Skills area)

This from Kevin;

Howdy!!!
Ok, I talked with Jim Cahill today, and YES! There is going to be a Dedication to all the volunteers that have helped over the last few years...focusing mainly on all the work done to get the Skill Building Area completed....It's more of an Official Opening of the area!!! Yay!!!
Now, unfortunately it does have a catch of sorts....
Last week, DNR received a call from the higher ups in Olympia, and apparently there are a few water quality issues (only a couple in the 4x4 trails, and 4 or 5 dispersed thru the singletrack and ATV trails....There hasn't been official word from Olympia that these areas must be taken care of ASAP, but Jim would like to nip the issues in the bud before said official word comes from Oly to fix it or close the trail...
What's being asked from the 4x4 users is to hold a 4x4 trail run with 12-15 rigs split into two groups...one going one direction (Lower Mainline), and one going the other (Upper Mainline)...While doing this run, there will be photos taken and possibly a little interviewing while fixing the small issues the 4x4 trails have at the moment. With 6 rigs per trail, we're only talking approx 45 minutes to an hour of repairing the issues!!! The plan for DNR is to post the pics/interview quotes on DNR's Blog showing we are taking care of any issues on the trails as they arise; keeping Oly off our backs!!! Once the repairs are done, the two groups will meet up at the Washington Volunteer 4x4 Trails Area (Skill building area) for the Official unveiling/ Grand Opening of the area....as well as an official Dedication ceremony of sorts for all of us that volunteered our time to help make this happen!!!! PLEASE try and if you can make the time to attend. It is important that we keep a positive outlook in Oly's eyes!!! Any and all that can show for this PLEASE send me an email stating so, or call me---let me know one way or the other so I can get a head count for Jim!!!! Thanks in Advance for all your efforts!!!! Kevin

I'll try and get a write up posted with pics in the next day or so. My back is giving me some troubles and the pain meds are making me a bit loopy. Shut it Kevin.:icon_lol:

It was a great day and very productive in multiple ways. I have posted some pics on NW-Wheelers for those of you who have access to that site.
