Table Mountain

This is something that occurs every year. Nothing new. This closure is inplace to keep stress and pressure off of the wildlife in the area. Maps are available at the Cle Elum Ranger District Station, 603 West 2nd in Cle Elum. Also the same map is here and you can download it http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/wenatchee/cl.../orv-maps.html

The other areas in Liberty are open. For the most part trails are snow free. Please "Tread Lightly" as Memorial Day weekend is well known for the rainy wet trail conditions.

Also remember this forest is patroled by many volunteers such as http://orvtrailwatch.org/. There is also an annual "Work Party" hosted by the High Country Cruisers. That group will be based out of Williams Creek Camp area. Also you can tie up with the Hurtin' Units also in Williams Creek. Both groups work to keep the trails accessable to all users. Thru these efforts coordinated with the V-Team http://threedouglass.com/orv.html a years long relationship with the Forest Service exist.

It's that time of year again. Please honor this closure. It helps the wildlife in the area, by lessening the vehicle impact on the winter lands the animals frequent.

It is now being watched by members of the Yakima/Kittitas Forest Watch.
We have member that live close and go to the area a lot.
