Most likely problem is a broken belt in the tire carcass (casing).

If it has picked up a "death wobble" shake in the front end and steering wheel, check all the rod ends and the steering box bolts, and the unit bearings in the wheel hubs. If a tire hop, swap front to rear and if it moves then the tire is either out of balance or like was said a belt let go. My death wobble is a steering box getting loose (only about a 1/16 turn on the bolts)

We had this wabble problem on the way from Sunnyside to Selah and could have killed us on the freeway but luckly it did not brake until we were turning around in a driveway, I would advise not driving it over 35 mph if at all until you know infact what is wrong, don't take any chances.
