Top PNW4WDA photo

It's a beautiful picture but to big for the forum pages. It can be shortened about 75 pixels and still looks great. Still does not match the rest of the site. The regular website should blend seamlessly into the forum.

If you change the code for the picture to what's posted below you will get rid of that nasty looking border surounding the photo. All that is added is "border="0"

<!-- I added this below -->
<td><a href="http://www.pnw4wda.org"><img src="http://www.pnw4wda.org/images/PNWlogo5.png" border="0"></a> <!-- End of My Added text --></td>

I don't understand?

Dogfather 02-03-2009 09:05 AM

oh here is another Fact, My Screan view is set at 1024X768 so that picture is set smaller and the forum is wider.. If I downgread the quality I view, to 800X600 then I see it wider... Old school computers suck.

EagleMark 02-03-2009 11:35 AM

That's because the picture is a set size 783x200 and the forums are set to what looks to be 100%

Here is some Examples as to what Screen Resalution dose for the Picture at the Top

1152X864

1024X768

See what I mean, you can't please everybody

That's exactly right. When I build websites I have three computers with different size screens and several browsers. I check them all to make sure nothing bad happens like scrolling sideways. But it will look different on several. The CSS scripts help minimize these diferances.

My comment on picture size was the height, not width. IMO the height takes up to much room and you immediately have to scroll down. In the long run the basic pages in the site will have to look similar to the forum. As it stands now when you go from the website home page to the forum it looks as though you went to a different website.

In addition to that has a banner ad program been discussed to promote our commercail sponsors, Trail Jam, BRC etc...
