Nepa 101 class
The Naches Ranger District is offering a NEPA 101 and Comment Writing Workshop open to the public.
Have you ever asked the question: Why does the Forest Service spend so much time planning instead of implementing?
How can I make sure my opinions and comments are heard?
What is NEPA?
How do I stay involved in what is happening on my public lands?
If you have, please join us in a brief overview of public involvement in the Forest Service NEPA process and for a Comment Writing workshop tiered to current projects.
Date: November 6, 2012 Election Day
Time: 6pm- 7pm (before the Trails and Wilderness Interest Group meeting)
Location: Naches Ranger Station, enter in back of building
RSVP: Michelle King 509-653-1420 firstname.lastname@example.org
As an informed citizen, you can help us do a better job of managing your public lands. Please share this information with friends and family who may be interested in the planning process on the National Forest. This will also be a good opportunity to get help writing good substantive comments on upcoming projects (flood repairs, restoration projects, recreation projects). If you are interested but canít attend this session, let us know- we plan to have multiple sessions for this course in the near future.
Hope to see you there
This is something that the state directors should get set up for W/C or the state meetings. We need to get more of our people involved, and this could give them some of the tools needed.
Already on it Art. Michelle is scheduled (pending approval) to be at both Washington state meetings.
