Tacoma, WA

Director Dan Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and a moment of silence for the sick and departed was observed.

Tahuya: Work party is Nov 17th and 18th. The Yellow Jacket Trail will be worked on. Mud Lake has water in it again. Kitty Pond has doubled in size.
Land Matters: Had work party at Cooper City. Built 2 more bridges, hauled in 12,000 pounds of rock. 118 grant requests were submitted at the NOVA meeting. All districts are looking for money. Some trails in the Liberty area on top of Table Mountain were lost due to the fire. Reminder that Evans ORV area closes December 15th and Naches closes on November 15th.

Future 4-Wheelers: meeting was held and initial planning is underway. Any Future 4-Wheelers that would like to volunteer can contact Brody Morris via e-mail, Facebook, or phone.
Competition: Reminder that competition and safety related bylaw change proposals must be submitted 90 days prior to Winter Convention. There is a rumor that there may be a proposed change to separate into more classes, for example a steering brake only class. It’s Jon’s opinion that our goal is to grow participation and breaking into smaller groups in counterproductive as there is less competition. If you’re having a competition event, please get the date to Jon so he can get it on his calendar. He is pursing having events at Cadillac Ranch and should have more news at the next meeting regarding the property in Monroe.
Old Business: none
New Business: Nominations for Region 2 officers were opened. Nominated were:
Director – Dan Morris
Vice Director – Rob Stafford
Secretary – none
Treasurer – Lora Jungmayer
Land Matters – Jim Putman
The WOHVA newsletter included legislative endorsements.

Respectfully submitted by
Diana Stafford
Secretary ad interim, Cascade 4x4’s and Overbored Racing
