my quote: "Wyden and Reid: the democrat party is trying to spend what money the government has collected on labeling more public lands. making them un-accessable! that is not conservation it is carpet bagging! Don't let them shut the gates on more of our public lands!!!!

Their quote: copy and paste and change a little:
Dear Senator Wyden:
I am writing you this morning to ask that you NOT support the 2013 Omnibus Federal Lands Bill as written as it does not reflect the desires or needs of the citizens of Eastern Oregon. This bill will assist federal agencies to further lock up lands that are used to sustain our families and ways of life and cause further harm to economies that are struggling to stay alive.
Please Senator, withdraw your support for this bill immediately and stop the further locking up of federal lands and allow the people of Eastern Oregon to sustain their livelihoods instead of promoting the livelihoods of additional federal employees through the taking of our civil rights to pursue our life, liberty and happiness in the lands we love and live off.

Article: Senator Wyden Joins Reid to Lead Omnibus Federal Lands Bill Effort
Dear Randell & Mona,
Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) want to move quickly before the opposition gets organized (please see the article excerpt below). Your Senators are critical to stopping this giant Omnibus Federal Lands Bill.
You can't let them get away with these back-room, dark-of-night tactics that they've used before.
You can stop the Omnibus Federal Lands Bill.
Please don't think that because you have called once or twice that you are done. You must keep up the pressure. Here's how:
1) FORWARD this urgent message to at least 10 other people; your whole list if possible.
2) CALL both your Senators at (202) 224-3121 (Capitol switchboard).
o ASK for your Senator by name.
o When the office answers, ASK for the person who handles Federal Lands or Natural Resources.
o ASK for a commitment from your Senator that he or she will oppose any Omnibus Federal Lands Bill.
Your Senator can stop this bill. All he or she must do is promise the Leadership that he or she will object or filibuster the bill. That will make the bill controversial. You must make the bill controversial.
When you call your Senators, ASK them to oppose any nomination of Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) as Secretary of Interior.
3) CALL your Congressman at (202) 225-3121 (Capitol switchboard).
He or she must vote on the Omnibus Federal Lands Bill so get a commitment from his or her staff to oppose any Omnibus Federal Lands or Omnibus Environment Bill. Follow the same instructions as above for the Senators.
Mona, can you expand on this a mite? Legal Council for the House Committee on Natural Resources has told me, via Doc Hastings office in Pasco, that an omnibus bill won't make it beyond the House. Monday I will call Barb Lisk, Doc's District Exec., and see what she's heard.
2/4/2013 and this today from Arra-Access http://www.arra-access.com/site/PageServer
Sent a note to Barb Lisk in Hastings' office about a number of things, and her response to the lands bill issue is that it ain't gonna survive the Resources Committee if it comes up. Several members of that committee are very much against this sort of back door nonsense, so Reid and his lackies may have a problem.
I'm thinking that'll work if enough people write and call in...if we sleep who knows aye?
