Region 3 Minutes
15 October 2013

Region 3 Director Kyle Wiebold called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed.

Eleven Clubs were present this evening including: Bri & Bub OffRoad; Flat Broke & 4-Wheeling; Hubs in; Mud-A-Rama; Our Gang Off-Road; Piston’s Wild –Oregon; Piston’s Wild –Washington; PNW Individual Member Club; Push N Pulls; Sand Fleas; Vancouver 4 Wheelers.

Welcome Greg and family members of Bri & Bub OffRoad.

HOSTING CLUB: Thank you to 4 Wheel Parts for providing pizza this evening.

Don Jensen made the motion to accept the September meeting minutes as printed. Rick Smith 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.

Region Director Kyle Wiebold – Attended Shore Patrol. There were a total of 32 participants. The weather was amazing and the beach was fairly clean so it made the cleanup much easier. The Mayor of Long Beach presented Kyle with the Key to the City and a Change for Good Certificate in recognition of PNW4WDA Region 3 efforts. The State Parks donated the trash bags.

Vice Director Tom Fisher – No Report.

Secretary Margaret Schiedler– Turned in September meeting minutes to Tri-Power and posted the minutes on PNW4WDA website.

Treasurer Rick Levine – Gave the treasurer report for September. Rick Smith made motion to accept the report as read. Tom Fisher 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.

Public Relations Bill Hutchens – Absent

Competition Marty Tilford – Needing volunteers for Summer Convention. Please take it back to your clubs and let Marty or Kyle know if your club is able to help out.

Oregon Land Matters Ryan Reusser – Saddle up in the TSF is now closed. It has been re-routed.
Washington Land Matters Ryan Wells – Welcome Back Ryan! Pick up the Burn was cancelled due to inclement weather. Hopefully, it will be re-scheduled for spring 2014. Piston’s Wild is building a gate for University Fire Power. The gate will cost approximately $2000.00 to build. Crystal Crowder made motion that Region 3 donates $1000.00 to help with the cost of the gate. Ryan Wells 2nd the motion. The delegates discussed the motion. Motion Carried.

Club Power/We Did It/Quill Power Don and Carol Jensen – Remember to turn in the form for Shore Patrol.

IAD Don and Carol Jensen– Remember to send letters to your congressmen that we do not support closing the national forests.

Ways and Means Kristen Smith– Still working on getting the online store up and running.

Membership Kristen Smith– Please be sure to add your dependents and their dates of birth. If you have any questions, please contact Kristen.

OLD BUSINESS – Winter Convention is coming along. As soon as the dinner menu is set then the flyer will go out. Kyle is still looking for Corporate Sponsorship for the Hospitality Room on Friday night.

ODF is having their Volunteer Appreciation BBQ on November 3, 2013 from 12 pm to 3 pm at the Forestry Center.

December 9, 2013 Bri & Bub Off-Road 3rd Annual Christmas Party and Raffle, Stark Street Pizza

The meeting is adjourned at 8:15 pm.
