Weight Distributing?

Just curious how many people are towing their rig/trailer using weight distributing? Some trailers are at near 5k lbs when loaded. I've never used weight distributing.

Yes if your refering to torsion (sp) bars between the trailer and the hitch. I find that it allows me to keep the rig a little farther forward on the trailer thus eliminating the tail wagging the dog problem.

Depending on the load I use the torsion bars. When the camper is on I always use them with the Superhitch extension.

I always do, camper or no camper...Cayuse Pass convinced me of that the first time I towed to Rimrock without one

They do improve handling in my opinion. There is also a sway control. Mine is a large flat bar with disc brake pads, adjustable. This also improves handling.

Affirmative. Not certain it's necessary with my MH, but a must when on the truck. Trailer is near 10K fully loaded.

We use em' too.

Heavy trailer, heavy rig, lots of parts and gear - sometimes we even add one or two ATV's to the load...

Makes a HUGE difference in drivability.

Just remember to disconnect them as you are entering your final destination (campground etc.) if you have to traverse over alot of uneven terrain to get to your campspot.

They can cause some serious carnage if you don't...

I always use mine, only take a second to put em on and makes a difference.
