Walker Valley news

Upper Mainline Trail temporarily closed
We've had to temporarily close the Upper Mainline Trail due to a washout. The trail closure was necessary to immediately address water quality in and around Walker Creek. For more information, please read our blog article. DNR has also posted images on an online photo gallery.

Webfoot Trail temporarily closed
Due to timber activities, the Webfoot Trail has been temporarily closed

to protect public safety. Please use the I-5 trail as a connector trail between Cavanaugh Trail and SMC Trail.

Walker Valley work parties
Join DNR staff and other volunteers on June 9 to help with trail maintenance throughout the Walker Valley ORV Area. Walker Valley work parties take place every second Saturday of the month. Show up at 9 a.m. and work as long as you want. Bring a hard hat, gloves, lunch, and water. Meet at the Walker Valley Trailhead Information Kiosk, 18652 Peter Burns Rd, Mount Vernon. Directions.

Reminder
Mike's Trail and a short section of Doug's Loop are both closed due to bridge failures. These trails are signed 'closed' and are not safe for travel. Please respect the closures and pass the information on to others.
