Region 3 Minutes
18 June 2013
Region 3 Director Kyle Wiebold called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m. followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed.
Eleven Clubs were present this evening including: Bri and Bub OffRoad; Flat Broke & 4-Wheeling; Free Wheelers 4x4 Club; Hubs in; Mud-A-Rama; Our Gang Off-Road; Piston’s Wild –Washington; Push N Pulls; Sand Fleas; Those Guys Off Road; Vancouver 4 Wheelers.
HOSTING CLUB: Thank you to 4 Wheel Parts for providing pizza this evening.
Rick Smith made the motion, seconded by Ryan Reusser, that the June 2013 meeting minutes be accepted as printed. The motion carried.
Region Director Kyle Wiebold – Kyle attended the June board meeting. The association is going to redo the “Who and What We Are” Pamphlet. They are looking into making it a slick magazine. Clubs will be able to advertise their event for a nominal fee. Hopefully, an example will be available at Fall Delegates. The Ways and Means online store is very close to being loaded onto the PNW4WDA website. Trail Jam registration went well and it should be a great event.
Vice Director Tom Fisher – The Rose Festival was a great success.
Secretary Margaret Schiedler– Turned in June meeting minutes to Tri-Power.
Treasurer Rick Levine – Gave the treasurer report for May. Rick Smith made motion to accept the report as read. Ryan Reusser 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.
Public Relations Bill Hutchens – Attended the Season Opener. Thank you to Ryan Reusser with Bri and Bub Off-Road for helping pass out PNW4WDA information to the participants.
Competition Marty Tilford – The water trailer is almost complete. It now has the capability to extract water from the track. Kyle and Marty have priced the parts that they need to finish the trailer. They need an additional $400.00. When the trailer is finished it will cost $1500.00. However, a comparable trailer would cost $2500.00 - $4000.00. Bill Manbeck made a motion for Region 3 to donate $400.00 to complete the water trailer. Rick Smith 2nd the motion. The motion carried. Any monies that the clubs donate going forward will be put towards the $400.00. Please contact Kyle Weibold if your club would like to donate.
Oregon Land Matters Jon Halleaux –Absent University Fire Power is now open and has been extended and you can get to Cedar Tree Trail. Elliot Creek is closed. Please do not use the horse trail. They are ticketing people who are caught using the horse trail.
Washington Land Matters Ryan Wells – Absent
Club Power/We Did It/Quill Power Don and Carol Jensen – Absent Bri and Bub Off-Road have turned in their Club Power to Kyle.

OLD BUSINESS – Winter Convention update – A contract has been signed with the Heathman Lodge. The date of Winter Convention is February 7, 8 and 9, 2014. The room rate is $89.00. Kyle is looking for a sponsor for Friday night hospitality room. The sponsorship would be for $1000.00. He is talking to some businesses and would consider clubs sponsoring the hospitality room. If you would like to sponsor the room, please contact Kyle Weibold.
Shore Patrol has been scheduled for the 3rd weekend in September. This will be the 43rd Shore Patrol. The camping will be at Driftwood RV Park.
4 Wheel Parts is looking for a host for their August 10, 2013 sale event. Please get a hold of Josh if your club is willing to host the event.

June 29, 2013 Life is a Journey 4 x 4 Poker Run hosted by Pistons Wild. Proceeds will go to Doernbecher Children and motorized recreational trails in NW Oregon & SW Washington.
Region 3 Run Offs July 6, 7 and 8th at 4 AT A TIME Play Date, Ethel Washington
