Default why can't i find an egr valve?!

1984 cj7

manual trans

i'm looking for an egr valve and all the parts stores are finding parts they don't carry but "can possibly order" them they range in price from $25.00 to $144.00. except no one can tell me which one i need for my jeep and the one in my jeep doesn't have any kind of part number or anything on it.

can anyone help me out with this?

You could try the part number for one from another Jeep product with the same engine.....

I have done this before with some of my older vehicles. My Olds is an example of this....

Shucks/o'reilleys
#EGR1175 BWD brand
$78.99 I don't have one at my store but I could have it next day.

That is as long as it wasn't made in canada.
