Region 2 Meeting
May 19th, 2011
4-Wheel Parts, Tacoma, WA

This regular meeting of the Region 2 of the Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Association was called to order at 7:40 pm by Region 2 Director Dan Morris, followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed.
Roll call was taken verbally and via the sign-in sheet.
Reports

Secretary’s report- A motion was made by Derrick Clark and Michael Mayfarth made a motion to approve the Minutes as posted in the Tri Power.
Treasurer’s report— Motion was made by Derrick and seconded by Michael Mayfarth to accept the minutes as posted in Tri- Power. Motion passed

We Did It/Club Power- no report
Naches – no report
Evens Creek- There is still snow at the campground, Webfooters are hosting the campground on June 11th and 12th, and the Work Party for Evans Creek is June 25th, 26th.
Elbe Hills- Heath reports that the work party was April 30th lots of people showed up. The trails need to dry out.
Tahuya- DNR trail cleanup was April 23r. .40 yards of trash was picked up.
Land Matters- discover pass did go through and will be enforced starting July 1st. Know before you go! www.discoverpass.wa.gov
OHV Watch- Straddeline meeting went well and courses have been adjusted for your entertainment. Look for rocks climb and logs. Concessions will be available for Moonshiner’s Playday Memorial Day Weekend. They are looking for a paint donation to Straddeline, if you have a hookup please contact offroadracer03@aol.com
New Membership- No new members
Letter writing- no letters have been written this last month
Ways and Means- no report
PR- Diana Stafford report that she loaned out the PNW4WDA banner to the Quadra Paws. Please remember that it is available to use for your event. She is also looking at putting together a picture story for each trail.
Future 4-Wheelers – Brody Morris reported that he has a logo for Under the Hill gang
Competition- the Work party for Ethel is June 11th. The Moonshiners Playday is this coming Memorial Day


Old Business
Region 2 Event/Summer Convention – Michael Mayfarth wanted to thank everyone for coming out to the Webfooters Playday. A good time was had by all.

Summer Convention- Dan reports that since last month nothing has changed. He has been asked by a Battalion from Ft. Lewis to help run the events and also perhaps race in the events. They are the WTB Wounded Warrior Transition Battalion. He did get the park to waive all fees to the WTB group. A motion was made Jeff Thompson and seconded by John George to have all fees waived. Dan states he will be contacting some people directly when he needs help.



New Business- None at this time

Announcements:
Next meeting is June 16th at 4WheelParts
June 18th and 19th is the Independents Race
There being no more business for the good of the order the meeting was adjourned at 9:15PM.
The next meeting will be June 16th, 2011, 7:30 pm at 4-Wheel Parts in Tacoma, WA.
