Default Wildman's Dodge

This is just your standard 2002 Dodge Quad Cab short bed Cummins Turbo diesel. I have only done a few things to it so far. And that was to help it tow better.

Running a 5" MRBP exhaust

BD exhaust manifold

Edge Juice w/Attitude

Blue Ox gooseneck hitch

And for the little one on long trips a 14" DVD drop down screen.

I just installed Rancho RS9000 shocks and got their new wireless controller too.

Well today was an awesome day for me!! I traded in my 02 Ram 2500 on a 08 MegaCab DRW SXT with a 6speed manual tranny. I had been looking at a 08 Quad Cab but REALLY REALLY wanted a MegaCab. So before I did :booo: for the next 10 years I started looking around today. I found a MegaCab at a dealership about 100 miles from the house. Then was looking around some more and found a deal on one down in Alabama with a $12,000 discount. So I called my local dealership that had the truck. Was able to get them to match the discounts on the truck!! It is a Khaki color with Khaki cloth interior. SXT model that is pretty basic I would guess. It has a 6 speed manual transmission, 3.73 gears, dual rear wheels and best of all it is MINE MINE MINE!!!
Nice 100 mile drive home and it sure feels great to have a NEW NEW truck!! This is only my 3rd new vehicle in my life.

Can't wait to start doing some mods to it.

Went thru my first tank of fuel. Got 260 miles on it so far. Was about a half a tank and getting 12 MPG Which I guess will get better as it gets broke in and once I unhook the EGR.

Congrats on the new tow rig. I could use a cab that size for the family.

We love our Mega. Wish it was a dually. Your 08' should have the better gearing in the manual. I'm running DDP injectors and a Smarty. Hopefully your commute gives the engine time to warm up and avoid Regen. My boss has an 08' Ford 6.4l. It's mostly used for short trips with occasional toy hauler duties. The truck goes into Regen daily. 12mpg. When new it averaged 15mpg. Yes, I did try to talk him into Mega/Cummins.

Did yours come with the Ebrake enabled? The Mega's GCWR should help the overheat problems you were having with the 2nd Gen. I did add a rear sway bar and airbags to assist with the onboard camper. Not sure if your gooseneck/camper combo will need it. Might be ok stock or with the Torklift Stable loads.

I failed to mention my Kilby Condensor Guard. My AC condensor still looks new because of it.

Edit: Here's my brake controller location. Not sure which dash you have.
