Looks to me that if Evan's was built today that he could allow as wide as 84" and still fall within current FS regulations.
My point would be that it would be best to have Bob as an ally rather than put him in a mood or position that does no one any good. Evans Creek has become a very political "Hot Potato" (remember what event brought about the redo and modifications of some trails). The Mt Baker/Sno Forest is among the "Greenist" of them all.

Ever hear of throwing the baby out with the bath.

I understand this part & am not looking to pick a fight with Bob Pacific...unless he doesn't want to be reasonable

The Forest Supervisor is the one you need to be reasonable. Bob has to walk the talk as well as talk the talk. He does both quite well.

My .02c......I view the new width restriction as an attempt to keep us out of the park. If this isn't true then surely they will revise the restriction and all will be well. If they are trying to keep us out then I ask why would you go and maintain a camp area which we are being squeezed out of? When I say "we" I mean we as a group even though a small number may still fit. Yes a campground is a campground and it's a good thing but this doesn't portray us standing or not standing as one united group.

I ran Evan's on Sunday. Campground was full of vehicles over 72 inches.
I noticed there was one map in the Kiosk and it was the old one....
We ran almost all of the posted trails, something I have never done there. We came across many trails/road that are not posted that led to dead ends? We ended up getting a bit lost as the map and the actual trails are not very well posted :-(
Picked up lots of trash, spoke with lots of people- Noticed all of the trees down on the road off of the 102, I think it's the back entrance to the park.
Never saw a LEO - I guess that's good

The trails are so wide, it seems silly to impose this restriction now.
