Region 2 Meeting
September 16th, 2010

This regular meeting of the Region 2 of the Pacific Northwest 4-Wheel Drive Association was called to order at 7:35 pm by Region 2 Director Edward Campbell, followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed. Roll call was taken verbally and via the sign-in sheet Guest-Louis from W.O.W..
No Report, minutes were not sent into the Tri Power
Laura Jungmayer gave both a verbal and written report. Motion made by Derrick Clark to accept the treasurer’s report, seconded by Al Churchill, all in favor

Roadwork will be done within the next 2 weeks starting from the 7920 road all the way to the campground entrance. All work will be done during the week days. Seasonal closure dates are 12/31-03/31 Width restrictions were brought up at the meeting. The number still remains at 72”, 78” will be acceptable at this time. Width will most likely be measured on the front end of the vehicle. Rock is being spread, narrowing up some of the trails. Trails will also be marked for different types of vehicles. Bob will get a list of the roads/trails that will be open for snow wheeling. There will be some roads that are going to be decommissioned above the day park area.
There will be a W.O.W. work party this weekend 18th and 19th. Parties of 25 or more are considered and “event” and must obtain a permit through the DNR in order to have that event held in Elbe.
Jim has a few more maps for the Mount Baker/Snoqualmie trails. The Forest Service is putting up gates on the Naches trail to enforce the seasonal closures. Jim said we need more participants from the PNW on the DNR forums. Arlene Brooks is retiring from her post in the PNW. State meeting January 15 and January 22 Brian suggested having joint PNW and W.O.W. work parties.
Voting for the new club, Outcast 4x4. Derrick Clark made a motion to vote the new club in, Bonnie Nettnin seconded that motion, all delegates were in favor.
WOHVA meeting 10/10/10, 10:00 a.m. at Clover Park Technical College. Willy Crawley is the new WOHVA Treasurer. Angie named off the legislators that support off road recreation, she will also post a link on the PNW website so you can see which legislator is in your district. Straddleline is indefinitely closed. The ORV park manager named weather and low park attendance as the reasons for early closure of the park this season.
Ways and Means:
White Knuckles Swap meet coming up as well as Operation Shore Patrol, Diana sent out about 8 press releases in regards to these events and PNW involvement.
Fun Days, hosted by Region 1, October 2-3, 2010 in Ethel.
Dave Taylor was voted in as the new PNW Competition Chairman at Fall Delegates.
Fall Delegates meeting: Arlene Brooks is retiring from her position, will not be running again, Region 5 & 6 border shift was voted on and passed, PNW working on getting a new accounting system in place, Dinan Stafford was appointed PNW P.R. person, possible $5 dues increase. Possibility of Region 2 hosting 2011 Summer Convention?
Dan Morris made a motion that if Summer Convention 2011 can be held at Cadillac Ranch, he will chair Summer Convention for Region 2 and Region 2 will host. If Summer Convention is to be held at the Ethel site, Region 2 will be available for helping, not hosting. Dorothy Churchill seconded the motion, delegates voted in favor.
