NEWS BULLETIN

Check out the latest in the Cle Elum Ranger District as a result of the latest rain storm

http://cleelumtrails.com/

Updated May16th 2011 - NEWS FLASH CONCERNING SEVERE FLOODING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE CLE ELUM RANGER DISTRICT - INCLUDING TANEUM AND MANASTASH....

ROAD AND TRAIL CLOSURES DUE TO FLOODING

Taneum road #3300 is washed out and closed at Taneum Campground.

Manastash Road #3100 is closed by the County just above Cove Road due to numerous severe washouts.

Peoh Point Road #3350 is closed 2.5 miles up just before the big switchback due to a washout.

THERE IS NO ACCESS TO BUCK MEADOWS, TANEUM JUNCTION, ICEWATER CAMPGROUND OR ANY OF THE TRAILS IN THESE DRAINAGES. IT IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY THAT THESE WASHOUTS WILL BE FIXED BY MEMORIAL DAY. PLAN ACCORDINGLY!

Watch this website or call 509-852-1100 for information as it develops.

I spoke to the Kittitas County Public Works Director today. He said Manashtash Road would probably not be open until September. He did not know about Taneum Road.
