Now can anybody tell what model of Jeep they are looking at? ( This is really quite easy!)

Looks to be one of the original "MA's"

More trivia--that grille was the original style on the MA/MB. Where did the more common "Jeep" 7 slot grille come from?

The stamped grille on the MB's, GPW's and the CJ's is not a Willeys or Jeep innovation. Who and why did it come into being?

Surprised they never got after Jeep when Jeep trademarked the grille shape/design.

Just a wild guess, Buick? Or maybe Olds?

Sorry, neither of those

Reason was the original was made of a bunch of pieces and assembled in a jig and welded up. Faster and cheaper to use the stamped grille that later became the iconic one we have still today.

And Devon wins the Kewpie doll.

Surprised that they never stomped on the trademark process back when it took place.
