Region 3 Minutes
16 April 2013
Region 3 Director Kyle Wiebold called the meeting to order at 7:18 p.m. followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed.
Fifteen Clubs were present this evening including: Bri and Bub Off-Road; 4 At A Time; Flat Broke & 4-Wheeling; Hubs in; Mud Puppies; Mud-A-Rama; Our Gang Off-Road; Piston’s Wild –Oregon; Piston’s Wild –Washington; PNW Individual Member Club; Push N Pulls; Sand Fleas; Those Guys Off Road; Trask Mountain Trail Runners; Vancouver 4 Wheelers.
HOSTING CLUB: Thank you to 4 Wheel Parts for providing pizza this evening.
Carol Jensen asked for a correction to the last meeting minutes. *Correction* the new OHV is in Astoria not in Long Beach. Carol Jensen made the motion to accept the March 2013 meeting with the correction. Tom Fisher seconds the motion. The motion carried.
Region Director Kyle Wiebold – The Barrel Extravaganza is cancelled for this year due to date conflicts. Kyle is working on getting The Barrel Extravaganza on the calendar for next year. Rob Stafford put on a winching course at the 4 Wheel Parts Truck and Jeep Fest.
Vice Director Tom Fisher – No Report
Secretary Margaret Schiedler– Turned in March meeting minutes to Tri-Power.
Treasurer Rick Levine – Rick reported on the February and March treasurer report. Carol Jensen made a motion to accept the report as read. Rick Smith seconds the motion. The motion carried.
Public Relations Bill Hutchens - Bill will be attending the Sand Flea Rally and will have a table set up with PNW4WDA information.
Competition Marty Tilford –Thank you to Trailbreakers, Inc., 4 At A Time and Freewheelers for your donation towards the 500-gallon water trailer that Marty and Kyle are putting together. They are still looking for a gas-powered pump. There will be a work party at the Ethel property June 8 and 9, 2013.
Oregon Land Matters Jon Halleaux –Absent
SOLV Clean up is Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Brown’s Camp. Rick Smith would like to thank Trask Mountain for opening up Eagle Hill Trail.
Washington Land Matters Ryan Wells –Ryan reported that DNR is still moving forward with the environmental protection impact study.
Club Power/We Did It/Quill Power Don and Carol Jensen –Is hoping to see Club Power being turned in as events are happening.
IAD Don and Carol Jensen– Please write to your Congressmen regarding the President’s plan to designate national monuments without input from the citizens. Idaho is going to be impacted if this goes thru.
Ways and Means Kristen Smith– Frogg has been working hard on getting pictures put up on the website of the entire inventory that is for sale.
Membership Kristen Smith– Please remember that dues are due on January 1, 2013 and the clubs have 30 days to get their dues in. If dues are not received by the end of January, there will be a 10% late fee. Every month that the dues are late a 10% late fee will be assessed. Kristen is planning to hold a class in the future regarding how to renew your dues on the website. There have been many questions and she is here to help you through it.

Region 3 Run Offs July 6, 7 and 8th at 4 AT A TIME Play Date, Ethel Washington
Tread Lightly Tread Trainer Course will be held May 19, 2013 at the Estacada Ranger station.
