Mona, I'm on your side...Really! Just letting my inner cynic out I guess. What plans do you have to try to push this?

First thing is to send support comments to ALL of the northwest Reps and Senators. And stay on them, at least weekly, keep letting them know the satus quo needs to go.

This thing will only get worse and they have to finish part A of the TMP by 2015, and that will be followed by massive closures to get down to "sustainable" levels based on their maintanence funding. You think the first round was bad, you have not seen anything yet.

For instance, Ochoco N.F. was able to maintain 132 miles of road last year, and about half of that was tied to timber harvest in either timber sales or stewardship contracts. That was just 7% of their road system.

Most other forests are in just as bad a shape

Art / Mona, I'm starting to see, among some of my contacts down there, a lot of support for the guy out of Kalamity Flats that's declared for the seat. Either of you have any thoughts in that direction?

I have not heard much on 2nd District since I reside in the 4th. But the RAC is situated in the 2nd, so would also be interested in what his planks are, even though I'm not eligible.

Found this. He quotes a mutual acquaintance:
