Default Mud fest 2010 in sweet home, oregon

Hello Fellow Four Wheelers.

Exciting news from Santiam Four Wheel Drive Association...

Mud Fest 2010 will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at a new location in Sweet Home, Oregon. The event is from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, rain or shine, and will offer the same event format as past events (Mountain Mud Festival & Foster Mud Flats.) Although this is a new event site, the event will be an exciting combination of past events. It will possess most of the great individual events that the Mountain Mud Festival offered and has more opportunity for the soupy, gooey mud that the late Foster Mud Flats offered.

We started the event almost 40 years ago as a family event for four wheelers to participate in their sport. That is still the goal today. The event will offer a drag strip, progressive mud pit, bog holes, room to play in the mud, a concession area, emergency/first aid, vehicle wash off area, parking areas, and bathrooms. It attracts thousands of attendees sporting a wide range of 4WD vehicles.

2010 Mud Fest tickets will be available through Ticketmaster Ticket Outlets and will be sold by phone order only. There will be no online or in person ticket sales. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 6th, 2010 at 9:00am until sold out. Tickets will be $33.00 each + Ticketmasterís fees. Tickets typically go fast. Individuals trying to obtain event tickets are encouraged to call 1-800-745-3000 promptly. A limit of 3 tickets per phone call will be imposed.

For more information visit our website @ www.themud.com or call our information line @ (541) 367-7547. We hope to see you at Mud Fest 2010! Thank you for your interest and support.

As posted on our website @www.themud.com, "Tickets are per person, not per vehicle, and are for event entrance." Thank you for your interest.

My Bad, can't read. Thanks for the info. I attended this event when it was at Foster Lake, it was a blast. When you get tired of washing the mud off, come see us at Groundhog in June, not much mud but the rocks are killer.

Glad the see this is still going on. I attended back in teh early days at Foster a few times in the early 90's. Sure was fun back then. Sorry to see its not at Foster any longer and limited attendance. Not sure I could afford to take the family at that price though...

I worked the event as a club member back in the late 70's. Remember the lunch size Fritos bag cut down the side with a ladle of chili on it??? Was good on the day down there when everyone was wet and cold.

Ther were issues with possible petroleum contamination on the old site (never happened), so another site had to be found. (IIRC)

Nice little article and pics in the local paper along with a short video on their website (albany democrat hearld)
