Default R4 Corn Feed

Hello Region 4!

The Corn Shucking Plaque/trophy is still MIA!
will you help me find it?
I spoke with a few members of the Black Sheep Club at the swap meet. They know nothing but will ask others too.

We have 6 months to find it. Can we?
Thanks!

Here are the guidelines that Sande posted last year that got deleted when the region forums got wiped out.

GUIDELINES FOR REGION 4 CORN FEED

Objective: The Corn Feed is to promote regional club interaction which in turn strengthens each club and the region.

History: The Corn Feed is a Region 4 event for families of the clubs to have an opportunity to come together for fun and runs. Some of the activities enjoyed at these events are poker and fun runs, a corn shucking contest and a potluck dinner. Tradition states the newest club in the Region would “procure” the corn.
Any club or person interested in hosting the Corn Feed must be a member of the PNW4WDA and a member in good standing in Region 4.
Suggested events:
Trail Runs Poker Run Night Runs Barrel Course
Divorce Course Children’s Courses Bucket Carry Plunger Race Obstacle Course Teeter Totter Pull Toy Races

Special Requirements:
There must be a corn shucking contest as there is a trophy to be given, followed by the cooking and eating of the corn. The corn shucking trophy must be returned to the Region Director at the current year’s Corn Feed as this trophy is handed on to the next year’s winner. The trophy can only be won by a Region 4 member as this is a Region 4 event. The Corn Feed should be located within the land boundaries of the Region.

Financial Responsibilities:
The hosting club will be responsible for all expenses incurred by the Corn Feed event with the exception of the corn, depending on who chooses to procure it. This event is meant for the enjoyment and fellowship of the Region families and is not intended for profit of the Region.
•Hosting club plans weekend. If club has various events and/or needs assistance, other region clubs can commit to specific support.
•Newest club in Region shall be responsible for procuring corn unless there have been no new clubs. In which case the duty shall be granted to a volunteer club or assigned to a club based on a random drawing of all participating clubs, excluding the current host club and the previous year’s corn provider.
•The Corn Feed is to be held during corn season - August through October.
Region 4 shall not be financially responsible for the Corn Feed in any way.

The Corn Feed was one of the best PNW4WDA events, I've been to.

Yes, he won it in 2009. This is where I found out there was a trophy at one time. guess it actually a plaque rather than a trophy.

Keep looking, keep asking.
