Default Meadow Lakes Project - Deschutes N.F.

This is on the Sisters Ranger District, and is located on the east side of Santiam Pass, south of Highway 20/126. It will tie in with the Santiam Pass area that is on Willamette N.F. Planning for motorized recreation and what to do with portions of the Santiam Wagon Road in the project area. Lots of old fire trails, wood cutting trails (old and new burn areas in this) and user created routes, plus a couple of nice sand pit play areas.

Comments on the proposed action are due by July 12, 2010. Sorry for the short notice, but has not been posted up here yet.

Contact the Sisters Ranger District, Deschutes National Forest for info. (don't have it here at work)

Our State Director just put up some comment points on the other land use page. Please take a few minutes to look them over and get in your comments in asap.
