Default Quack Attack work parties

Due to snow level on the trail and miss communication with the forest service the camp out 25th-27 has been moved to July 9th-11th. It will begin on Firday at 10am. Unless snow lingers we will start and finish the lower end and then start on the picnic and water fall areas. The upper areas will need lots of bodies to complete.

Mona and I will be camping up there for the whole weekend so feel free to join us on the work party for part of a day or for the whole weekend.

If you can come help on this trail it would be appreciated. Things to bring if you can: Sharp axe, sharp shovel, sharp heavy duty pruners, water, insect repellent, boots. We need an experience welder with on board welder and all their gear for making tree savers. If you have on board welder it must be in a trail rig capable of going off road.

I am looking forward to this trail opening, as it will be a true Class II trail not flat dusty roads which is all that is in this area.

If you have any question please feel free to call me. Randy 541 419 9952

Default Thank you and job well done!

Vistas on the top of the new trail
are always a reminder of what we work for.

Signing the new trail 210 (Quack Attack)
The work parties have been interesting.
This weekend we met three PNW members
who traveled far to see the progress and help.

Most difficult or more difficult
without lockers and a steady pedal you donít want to go.

Joe and Stacie on the steep incline
were great help this weekend on the work party.

John Z., Marilyn, Jake your effort, and commitment to this trail system have been phenomenal.

Let Rí Buck: no one needs to tell you three to cowboy up.

Another John! Our Token Tall Guy for the weekend pounded the signs in place for each juncture.
Voicing encouraging words along the trail and asking questions about how it all came into being
John thanks for helping out.

An old fashioned 4x4 trail

Joe and Stacie and a great little CJ 5

The last tight spot in the trail and Beau is watching his path closely.

End of the trail and the new small kiosk is in place.
Thank you Jon and Josh Pyland
they spent two entire eight hour days
on the construction of the large kiosk
for the trailís beginning and
this smaller version at trailís end.

We ended the almost completed trails project as we started it: ice cream at Hoodoo Lodge.
Helpers came and went from Connecticut,
Washington State our club members
forest managers too changed but the end result is pretty much a lot of fun.

Our tired iron in need of baths for the upcoming
July 30th trip down the SWR with our Forest Service managers in tow.

Ethan spotted and walked the top of the mountain trail.
Ethan someday...
you will know how much I appreciate you.

Your report looks great!!

How long is the trail? Looks like it would be a great trail for a day trip from Vancouver, WA.

To all the DC4W's and everyone else that helped build this trail, thank you! This thing is awesome, and I was glad to be able to help out. You folks have done a phenomenal job and I look forward to enjoying these trails for many years to come.

Heres some video I took.

And a couple more...

Again I'd like to thank you folks for not only building the trail, but also for the hospitality and patience you showed me. The birthday cake was tasty, and I really appreciated the help with my busted tie rod. You folks are some great people building some amazing trails!
