Last night's Wilderness Interest Group (TWIG) meeting was about the Glass Angel Restoration Project. Proposed vegetation, road and trail restoration activities in the Glass Creek and Rattlesnake Creek areas. Please get your public comments in before Nov 9th.

Can you provide a quick summary of what the plan is? Looks like they are closing trails & roads, but adding some trail back?

They are closing a user made trail and moving the Glass Creek trail off part of the meadow. One plan getting the trail off the meadow would be adding extra trail mileage around the top of the meadow. The other plan just moves part of the trail over where you would still cross part of the meadow.

They are also closing a lot of short roads in the area which maybe camping spots for some people.

They are going to be logging an area where Glass Creek trail goes through and not leaving any buffer. They are going to use part of Glass Creek trail to get the logs out. So this tight trail is going to become open without the obstacles to drive around.
