Here are some more fun numbers to share...

Department of Natural Resources Recreation Program volunteer hours reported for 2009 & 2010. This includes ALL volunteer hours for all user groups (only one Region of DNR keeps track of hours from specific user groups).

These volunteers are the people who are the partners in stewardship of the lands we are talking about - we all should have a voice...

2009: 61,108

2010: 78,865

Those 2010 numbers represent the working hours of almost forty (40) dedicated full-time employees - WOW! (oh yeah, who never take a vacation day, holiday or sick day) LOL

OR - 3,286 FREE Discover Passes (oops - did I write that out loud)

NOTE: The volunteer hours are reported in the quarter that DNR receives them. It is quite common for hours to be submitted a year or two after the work was actually done. The hours were reported in a given year. But, the work may have been done in a different year.

I think thats a good idea because its cheaper all the way around. And it allow multiple rigs too. And we all know their not going to give them away for free. So either way we are going to have to pay something no getting arond it now. They are already charging us for them and generating revenue. So its not going to go away.

I think ZUKKEV has a good idea
