What does "Tread Lightly" mean to you?
Do you practice what you think what it means?

Yes Caveat is what is the description of "damage" and how does it relate? A thousand jeeps could cross a stream and do less "damage" to the enviroment then one good rainstorm.

To leave an area in the same or better condition than you found it.
The exception to the rule here would have to be in the rare and unique circumstance where you are building new trails with landowner permission and cooperation... ![]() Oops (edit) I forgot to answer the second part of the question... Yes, absolutely! And have even gone so far as to suspend relationships with people who just don't get it - after explaining it over and over and over again...

To wheel with "class" and travel with the least damage to the area and the vehicle. If the only indication I have been there are some tire tracks without spin marks, I have succeeded.
Yes we do, hate fixing rig and buying parts that I don't have to. When a 4 x 4 x 6 foot rock is pruned out of the ground and ends up in the middle of the trail, that is getting a bit much. And when the Forest Service person says " As long as they are on the trail, I really don't care what they do", it does not help much. Other damage can be tree damage, cutting, winch use, etc, oil slicks left and not cleaned up, and other types of things like that. Bikes and ATV's taking corners under a lot of power and putting up the big burm you tend to see is another form of abuse and damage in my view.
