Default Survival of the Fittest

One of the things I love about Jeep'n is that I can safely transport myself around the woods. Part of this thinking is that is **** on earth ever broke loose I could survive.
Always wanting to be self sufficient it has kind of been a hobby to prepare for the worst in the event my family needed to survive.
We try to keep a couple months food supply on hand for our friends and family JUST IN CASE.

I've been checking out this outfit and thinking about investing in a 3 month supply of freeze dried foods.
What are your thoughts on this and what do you do to prepare yourself in case it all goes to **** in a handbasket?
