Default Oregon Senate Bill for O&C Lands

Well here we go. Here is a disaster in the making, and it is even worse than DeFazio's bill that passed the House.

Includes $5 million right off the bat to close BLM roads and therefore access. You can bet the farm those will be converted to hiking trails.

Big Wilderness additions, several new National Monuments and other sacred areas. Lots of new wild and scenic river miles. All in lock step for a million acre + Wilderness centered on Kalimopsis and Rogue/Siskiyou National Monument.

The restrictions on timber harvest will ensure appeals and suits on every sale, and the big outfits that get any of the timber will use it to offset their own timber so they can increase log exports off their own lands. Since there are NO mills left in the area, there will be no measurable increase in jobs.

You are looking at kissing off SW Oregon from I5 west and the Umpqua River south.

Tried to input the link to the section by section bill, but won't work for some reason.....if some one wants it I will email it and they can try to load it.

Both Wyden's and DeFuzzy's bills made it out of respective committees, now for floor votes and reconcillation of differences or see if they get hooked to something that HAS to pass.......
