Region 3 Minutes
18 February 2014

Region 3 Director Kyle Wiebold called the meeting to order at 7:16 p.m. followed by the flag salute and a moment of silence for the sick and departed.

ROLL CALL
Eleven Clubs were present this evening including 4 At A Time; Bri and Bub Offroad; Flat Broke & 4-Wheeling; Hubs in; Mud-A-Rama; Our Gang Off-Road; Piston’s Wild –Washington; PNW Individual Member Club; Push N Pulls; Sand Fleas; Vancouver 4 Wheelers.

HOSTING CLUB: Thank you to 4 Wheel Parts for providing pizza this evening.

MINUTES
Rick Smith made the motion, seconded by Don Jensen, that the January 2014 meeting minutes be accepted as printed. The motion carried.

OFFICER REPORTS
Region Director Kyle Wiebold – Received letter from Candle Lighters thanking Region 3 for their donation. Winter Convention was a success. Thank you to 4 Wheel Parts for your donation and the 3 stores that were represented at the convention. Angie Marek won the raffle for the quilt.
110% Award and Pin was given out to the following people: Branden with 4 Wheel Parts, Tom Fisher, Carol Jensen, Don Jensen, Rick Levine, Margaret Schiedler, Kristen Smith, Marty Tilford and Jamie Wiebold.
Vice Director Tom Fisher – No Report
Secretary Margaret Schiedler– Turned in January meeting minutes to Tri-Power.
Treasurer Rick Levine – Gave the treasurer report for January. Don Jensen made motion to accept the report as read. Rick Smith 2nd the motion. Motion Carried.
Public Relations Teresa Sullivan – Handed out a questionnaire to the delegates to fill out. The answers are to help her with the position and will not be shared.
Competition Marty Tilford –Barrel Extravaganza will be held on May 10, 2014 at Cowlitz County Fairgrounds. Needing volunteers to help with the track, security and clean up. Summer Convention is going to be August 15 – 17, 2014. The tech fee is being raised from $5 to $10. Still needing volunteers for Barrels, Obstacle, Kids Course, Pull Toys and 2 people to run the water trailer. Please contact Marty at moparman63@yahoo.com if your club can help out.
Oregon Land Matters Ryan Reusser – Absent. La Dee Flats is still closed. ODF in conjunction with ODOT will be removing rotten trees from mile post 33 to 36. The project will start February 3, 2014 and should be completed by the end of May. They will be planting more trees.
Washington Land Matters Crystal Crowder – Hoping to have information at next month’s region meeting regarding the Yacolt Burn. Crystal asking the delegates what information they would be interested in hearing about. Delegates would like to hear about what is going on in Washington and not just the local area. .
Club Power/We Did It/Quill Power Don and Carol Jensen –Delegates discussed different ideas to get members interested in Club Power/We Did It/ Quill Power.
IAD Don and Carol Jensen– See Current Issue of the TriPower for the IAD Winter Convention report.
Membership Kristen Smith– Kristen updated the delegates on how many clubs have signed up in Region 3. She is asking that the clubs go into their membership file and correct the dependents date of birth. This will help her have a more accurate picture of how many members, spouses and dependents. Also, in order for the dependent child to apply for the scholarship an accurate Date of Birth is required. If you are not comfortable putting in the actual Date of Birth then you can put in 01/01/and correct year of birth. Individuals who are renewing now will need to pay a 10% late fee.
Ways and Means Kristen Smith- Kristen has patches available.

OLD BUSINESS
– Please submit content to Kyle Wiebold for the Slick Magazine. He is trying to fill between 30 and 50 pages and wants to feature the clubs. This Slick Magazine will be replacing the Who and What We Are pamphlet.

NEW BUSINESS-- No New Business
