Default legislation sometimes may help!

http://walden.house.gov/s2014/greg-w...ccess-for-all/

Greg Walden has helped Deschutes County 4 Wheelers with more than one land issue.

Now to wonder if this is just to stop the process where it is now, or roll back the part "B", that most Forests have already done. If it is a roll back intent, then the only thing they can do is eliminate cross country travel, and that does not do much for the ML-1 roads closed in the early 90's.

Those are questions that need to be asked and addressed. While in favor of it as stands, we need more.

I read as can't implement or enforce parts A, B, and C of the Travel Management Rule, but that does not help what the courts would say. To me that means the existing part B's that are done are not enforceable (that is the NF's that have the MVUM's out at this time). And does not address the other two items.

I'm not a lawyer, just the layperson trying to make common sense of it.

I cannot count the days I have gone to his office with complaints of TMP and its inequities. I cannot help but be excited he listened!

Someone we have both responded to might have done some good after all, along with all of the rest.

Give his office a call and see what the intent is on it. You will get further since you are in his district.

Might make it out of committee, and pass the house, but I seriously doubt it'll get anywhere in the senate. How sure are we this isn't just election year posturing? Sorry to play devil's advocate

Walden has made many trips to eastern Oregon to discuss TMPs. Walden came to the dunes when we were in fear of losing more. He talked - listened and helped. He also took Randy Drakes cj7 for a spin on the dunes after he had had the tour in the shotgun seat. Walden is serious about putting loggers to work and getting Oregon out of the welfare state column.

and he has listened to many many many of our rants on the forest plans...

Dave, you might be right on it getting out of the Senate, but with Reid being out of NV, you never know.

Rep. Walden's seat has been pretty secure in the past, and he is not much into playing those kind of games that I have ever seen. Pretty straight shooter, though I don't agree on his signing on the O&C pact with the 4th district and both senators. (at least the premise of it.)
