Healthy Forests Restoration Act

The Healthy Forests Restoration Act would improve the ability of land managers to plan and perform fuels reduction projects on federal lands.

The President signed the bill into law on December 3, 2003.
The Senate and House agreed to a joint conference report resolving differences on November 21, 2003.
The Senate passed an amended version of the bill on October 30, 2003.
The house bill was passed by the house on May 20, 2003 and placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar on July 31, 2003.
