Dear Arlene,
Thanks for being a part of our
“success with volunteers” panel at last weekends State Trails Conference.
Your points about leadership,
coordination, and recognition were very true and it was great to hear that from
the perspective of a volunteer group.

Dear Ms Brooks:
On behalf of the planning
committee, I want to thank you for helping to make the 2003 State Trails
Conference a success. After reading through the assessments returned by
attendees, it is clear that your presentation was one of many that helped ensure
the high marks.
I came away from this conference
rejuvenated by the energy, hopes and ideas of many people working to help
improve trails. It is always impressive to see the wealth of knowledge of those
in our trails community. Due to this success, many of us are already looking
forward to the next conference. When it occurs, we trust that you will again be
available to help out!
One a related topic, I am
preparing a “conference summary” publication to be sent to interested persons,
including all who attended. This overview will be based on notes taken by
recorders during the conference. If you have any material that might assist in
this write-up (PowerPoint show, an outline, etc.), I encourage you to send it to
me via email.
Sincerely,
Greg Lovelady, Washington St.
Trails Coalition and
Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation
