Region 2 Mud Bog

On Sunday, May 16, Region 2 hosted a Mud Bog at Happ's property in Ethel. Over 800 spectators came out to watch 65 competitors take their turn racing through the 150 foot long, chocolate pudding-like mud. All had expectations for a day of fun. They would not leave disappointed.

There were four classes of competitors, based on tire size. The top finishers were:

Thank you to the participants, spectators, vendors, volunteers and land-owners for helping to make this event a success. A special thanks to: Hertz Rental in Yelm, for donating the dozer, BBQ, pressure washer, water pump and tent, about a $1400.00 savings; to HoneyBucket for donating 8 toilets, valued at $850.00; to Berg Scaffolding for donating the bleachers, a $750.00 savings; to the Spanaway Moonshiners Jeep Club for donating $695.00; to Lee from Country Tractor for paying for the first 3 1/2 hrs of mowing at $50.00 per hour; and to D&W Landsculpting for mowing the field.

And finally, a double helping of muddy-thanks to Steve and Leanne Russell, for all their hard work organizing and running the event. Great job!
