Two weeks....
Since I had my Left Knee operated on.....

I Had arthroscopic surgery to repair a torn Meniscus two weeks ago.

I was up and walking about three days after. Now at the two week mark I am walking longer distances each day and have no pain at all except at the end of my day. :bounce2:

I injured my knee while moving some locker/wardrobes at work (300LB monsters!) back in December last year. I filed the WC claim and finally got approval for the surgery in early March.

The MRI wasn't fun, but necessary.....

I tried Physical Therapy at first, but that didn't solve the problem....

Just thought you all might want to know since I haven't been here much.

I no longer work at Tongue Point Job Corps. It's a long story that I am currently fighting with management over.... (basically, they "found" a way to fire me legally.)

I plan on returning to school to finish my AA degree once my son is in school next year. For now I am running a table at our local Grange's Flea market four days a month, and helping where I can in the family biz....

I knew about your knee, that sucks they fired you. I don't see how they can when you injured it at work.

They can't legally fire you for an injury, but they can manufacture "evidence" that can get you fired. I have appealed, and talked with the Corporate office until I turned blue head to toe.
They wouldn't budge.:Wildman:

I pulled out the manual and also quoted it verbatim, that if what they claim happened actually did happened it wasn't in effect until after I had gotten hired. After I got fired they distributed the new policy. My wife still works there and isn't happy with the upper management for what they did to me.

Being treated like a criminal by the company that once said you were great, is complete and total :Topes:

SO now I get some money for disability, and unemployment, but am looking for a better company to work for.

I got a call two days post-op from Home Depot looking for an interview. I told them about my surgery and asked to reschedule. The gal said I am on the list and that she will call in a couple weeks (we will see). :bjeepn3:

I say to that employer for being buttheads about the process. I can look elsewhere.....
