Default Lakeview RMP Ammendment

BLM is doing a RMP (Resourse Management Plan) ammendment for the Lakeview, OR District. The Primary things under consideration, due to lawsuit, are:

Consider information from wilderness charecter inventory updates
Consider a reasonable range of OHV allocation/desigination alternatives

They will also address some cave management, develop a TMP, develop a recreation area management plan for the North Lake Special Recreation Management Area, and new utility corridor designations.

Public meetings and open houses for scoping are as follows:

May 26th, 5:00 to 7:30 PM, Burns District Office, Confeence Room, BLM, 28910 Highway 20 West,Hines OR

May 27th, 5:00 to 7:30 PM,Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District Office, East/West Conference Room, USFS, 1230 NE 3rd Street, Suite A-262, Bend, OR

May 28th, 5:30 to 8:30 PM, Christmas Valley Community Hall, 87345 Holly Lane, Christmas Valley, OR

Most if not all of the routes in the North Lake Area were inventoried and GPS'ed around 6-7 years ago by one of our members over one summer and extending into part of a second IIRC.

This is a MAJOR area for us, as the North Lake Area contains the Christmas Valley Dunes.
