The 2010 Colville National Forest (CNF) Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUMs) are out!
This year there are 4 maps to the set. You can download the maps from this website: http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/colville/travel-mgt/index.shtml Just be aware the maps are very large! If you want to print out a small section of a given map, you can do so by displaying the area on your screen and then printing the "Current View". That will at least give you a small section of the map that you could use in the field. Be sure to take a look at the tables on the reverse side of the map. They indicate the time period a trail is open. On the front side of the map, if a trail has gray shading along both sides of the trail, that means there is a limited time when the trail is open. Check the trail number and then find the trail number on the reverse (table). It will show the mileage and dates open. Questions? Contact me for more information.
