Post #16 & 17, I think the only thing that is dave's is the first line of # 16. Then the double space and the start of the form comment he came across.

I'll go back and modify them in a bit. They're copied from the comments on the project site, so I'll try to add narrative to that affect.Right now, of the saw bones

Dave, would you mind presenting Brandon's question to BRC? "Why do they prefer B over D?"

Thanks

I can sure do that...

Don, the guys would like your input on why B over D, and what mods do you have banging around your head? A lot of us are starting to lean to D, with more WATV access.

The comments I have heard from important people are that if plan D is selected it will guarantee a lawsuit by the greenies.

They will file objections if any alternative but the max protection/closure is selected. Then if they don't get what they want in the objection resolution process (appeal) then they would probably sue.

Nothing new there, we see it in any NEPA project on BLM and USFS. They then settle for "X" $$ to fund the war chest for the next round.

Then why not fight for D and use B as a middle ground if they do get sued and have to stray from Alt D? They are going to fight for total closure so why don't we do the same and fight for completely open? If we settle for a middle ground right off the bat we will still get fought by the greenies and maybe have to compromise with even less than that... Just my thought

Dave

Don's response:

Dave,

Considering the greens will sue, I suggest that It would be better to support Alt. B (the preferred alt.) and ask that it be modified (good stuff from Alt. D and other OHV ideas based on local input) to adopt your recommendations.

D

Comments from the collective?...DW

This is my thinking as well. If we start with D, we will end up with B. If we start with B then we'll end up with a nice stamp collection in the garage where the Jeep used to be.

I think I'm starting to concur, especially after WildEarth Guardians posting to their FB telling the minions to comment on the Colville plan today. They're headed our way...
