Region Director Earl Nettnin (Desert Rats) called the meeting to order at 7:38 PM. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited and a moment of silence for the sick and departed was observed. No guests were present.

Comp: The PNW COMP CHAIRMAN Steve Zentner (Push & Pulls and RPM Racing) sent information that they were able to lock down the Clatsop County Fairgrounds for a PNW barrel extravaganza September 30 and October 1. If you would like to help with the event, please contact Steve Zentner at 503-438-0590 or Kyle Wiebold at 360-772-5682.

Club Power/We Did It Chairman Gary Harting (Desert Rats) was not present, he wanted to remind everyone to turn in your paper work for activities.

Jr. Jeepers Teia Ireland (Individual Member) was not present. She has been doing a great job for us but she is looking for someone to take over for her as life seems to be getting busier. If you are interested, please call her at 509-697-8479 or Region 4 Director Earl Nettnin 509-783-6481.

Trail Jamboree - The ladies Cancer run had 3 additional sponsors: Black Diamond 4X4, "Well, I Declare", and Ladies Off-road Network. This year trail sign-ups were all made when you registered, that seemed help eliminate some of the confusion with trail sign-ups. Lots of discussion followed. If you were at Trail Jamboree please fill out the evaluation form that was in your packet, as this will help us to make next year's Trail Jamboree better. Black Diamond 4X4 was a new sponsor at Trail Jamboree this year, they are located in Kennewick, WA.

Pick Up A Mountain (PUAM) the dates are September 15-17, 2017. A motion was made by Dave McMains seconded by Lee Creiglow (Columbia Basin Sand Commandos) that we send $300 to Olympic 4X4 for door prizes; motion carried. All Region 4 clubs are also asked to provide a door prize.

PR Chairman Jim Hall (Jeepin' Nomads) said he is happy to send information out on activities as well as land issues etc. Jim will be happy to write a press release for your activity and get it to the right people. If you are planning an activity, fun run, etc let him know and he will send it out to our alert list.

LAND MATTERS:
Travel Management Plan - is in the final stage. Still a work in progress.

Naches Collaborative Little Crow - Ron Rutherford said they are having monthly meetings for the Steering Committee now. Ron said there was an appeal, so things are being reviewed. Ron represents us on the Steering Committee, thank you Ron for representing motorized and keeping us up to date.

Trail Partners project - The Naches Trail Puncheon will be July 14, 15 & 16. Friday volunteers will start moving material in; Saturday they will start building the new crossing and burrito. When that is finished they will start to disassemble the old puncheon. Ron Rutherford said that he and Mike VanAmburg were heading up the volunteers; camping will be at the Little Naches Sno Park on the 1904 Road. They need about 24 volunteers; probably start about 9 AM Friday morning. Bring leather gloves. Hard hats are required, if you don't have one the Forest Service has some.

Trails Wilderness Interest Group (TWIG) The Rabbit Hole Burrito work party will be towards the end of July, mid-week and will be mostly machine work. The Forest Service has replaced Jeff Leisy with John Regetz, he comes to us from Alaska. Boulder Cave and the Peninsula @ Rim Rock need hosts. No alcohol will be allowed at either place, Forest Service plans to be checking on the weekends.

Grant Requests - we understand they have been categorized; we hope to hear soon what projects received funds.

Blue Mt. Forest Plan - is supposed to be approved (August maybe).

Colville National Forest Revision is almost finished.

Juniper Dunes - According to Matt Mahoney (public works for Franklin County) they are still engaging in the acquisition of the necessary right-of-way. They still plan on construction commencing this year but it is looking more like September instead of the prediction of July/August.

Swauk Pine - nothing is happening.

Methow Valley Mission Restoration Project comment period begins on June 30, 2017 and goes for 30 days. Background information on the revised preliminary Environmental Assessment for this project is available at https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=49201. For additional information contact Meg Trebon at 509-996-4032.

Old /New Business
Fish & Wild Life - The Milk Creek re-route is kind of on hold; but we've been told it will happen this year.

Club Reports
Midnite Mudders - John Thompson reported they had a clean-up at Hover Sunday June 25th with the Week End Warriors club. They had 20 people show up, it was hot and the ticks and spiders were coming off the bushes. Lots of garbage was picked up. FYI John said Waste Management will not take roofing material, concrete or tires. He and daughter Tori attended Trail Jamboree. They plan to participate in the Fair Parade.

Jeepin' Nomads - Ron Rutherford reported the last weekend of June was their annual camp out at Rim Rock where they did quite a bit of trail maintenance and some PR. Some plan to attend the Little Naches work party this weekend. They have a sleeping bag run planned for the end of the month - weather permitting.

Hurtin' Units - Dave McMains reported they had 26 go to Moab in June and had a great time. Some had problems but they were able to get parts. He and Frogg went to Trail Jamboree.

GOOD OF THE ORDER
Ron Rutherford reported one of their members, Gene Nalley passed away from Cancer and his service will be tomorrow. He will be missed, our condolences to his family.

Black Diamond 4-Wheel Drive store in Kennewick did a fantastic job at Trail Jamboree as well as helping to sponsor the Ladies Breast Cancer run.

Mitch Carter (Wandering Willys) has left ARB and is now with AEV (American Expedition Vehicles).

Lee Creiglow reported that this would be the last time we would be allowed to meet at the Fire Station in Moses Lake so we are looking for a new place to meet.
