As I was looking at TJs for a better riding open top Jeep than the CJ5, JKs kept coming up on my search. A lot of JKs were priced better than the TJs that had a lot of miles on them. I found the JKU was a 5 passenger and had room for a third row seat. By adding one more seat, that would fit me, my wife and 4 kids like our old XJ. That pretty much closed the deal on what I wanted. I found this 2007 JKU Rubicon at Mike Olson Dodge in Yakima. I traded in my F250 Super Duty since I did not need it any more.
My plans are for adding my 12,000 Mile Marker (I bought years ago for the 99 XJ I never put on), some way to mount my tow bar, a small lift and 35 KM2s. Here are photos of when I got it home. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Although I have the 2-door 2007 Rubicon, I love it. I was really surprised how well it performed stock. The only major mods I've made is to replace the front and rear bumpers and install the TeraFlex 2.5-inch coil lift (in preparation for upgrading my tires from the stock 32" to 35x12.50x17 or 16 early neat year).
