First ever in this forum, wow!

Well let me break the ice and tell ya about myself and my new wallet shrinker!

My obsession started when I lived in Colorado and began wheeling a 1985 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I ended up selling that vehicle when I moved from CO and had yearned for a new one since.

A couple years ago I picked up a 1988 Toyota 4Runner SR5 (love the 1st Gens), that had a blown motor. I ended up swapping in a later generation 3.4 V6 from a Tacoma and a few other mods (link to build here: http://www.yotatech.com/f116/88-4run...ay-1-a-238615/). Though I had many plans I ended up stagnating on its progression due to the time needed to get it where I wanted and space issues (renting and no garage).

I decided a replacement was needed that was in a more ready state that I could also modify to fill my tinkerer itch but can be used immediately for camping, etc. I decided on a 3rd generation 4Runner (1996 - 2002) and set to looking for a suitable vehicle.

After looking at a good number of them I came across this super clean 1997 Toyota 4Runner SR5 and instantly fell in love with it.
