Default october Region 3 meeting minutes

Region 3 Meeting
October 18, 2016
The October 18, 2016, Region 3 meeting was called to order by Region Director Marty
Tilford at 7:12 pm, followed by a moment of silence for the sick and departed. The
meeting was held at 4 Wheel Parts in Portland, Oregon.
Following clubs were represented: Dirt Minions, Flat Broke and 4 Wheelin’, Hubs In 4
Wheelers, Mud a Rama, Mud Puppies, Pistons Wild-Washington, PNW Individual
Members, Sand Fleas, Trailbreakers and Vancouver 4 Wheelers.
Kristin moved to approve the minutes of the September meeting as presented on the
PNW4WDA website. Seconded by Gary Johnson, motion carried.
Officer Reports;
Region Director: Marty will talk with Teresa about the 2017 Fall Delegates meeting.
The Board of Directors meeting will be December 3
in Longview. The Washington Off
Highway Vehicle Alliance (WOHVA) meeting will be held at the Snoqualmie Fire Station
on November 6
. WOHVA is endorsing Steve McLaughlin for Washington State
Commissioner of Public Lands.
Treasurer’s report: Kyle presented the treasurer’s report. Rick moved to accept the
report, seconded by Tom. Motion carried.
Comp Chairman: Nothing new to report. Looking forward to 2017. Nominations were
opened for 2016/2017 Comp Chairman. Kyle was nominated and accepted. Rick moved
to pass a unanimous ballot for Kyle. Seconded by Greg. Motion carried.
Oregon Land Matters: Kingsley is open until it snows. Powerline 4C has intermittent
closures due to logging. There will be a reroute after the logging is finished.
Washington Land Matters: Trail building in Yacolt has been shut down due to the rain.
Old Ugly is looking good with new rock being put in. The Yacolt trails are closed
December 1-April 30.
IAD/Club Power/We Did It/Quill Power: IADs (Inter Association Directors) are getting
ready for the NAMRC (North American Motorized Recreation Council) meeting in Las
Ways and Means/Membership Trash a roos still available.
PR Chairman was absent.
No old business.
New Business:

Marty will get with Teresa to work out the details for the 2017 Fall Delegates meeting.
Looking at trails out of Diamond Mill and possible Hood River.
Club Reports:
Dirt Minions are meeting with the Forest Service. Also having their club meetings.
Flat Broke and 4 Wheelin’ working on their Halloween Rally.

Mud a Rama helping with Flat Broke Rally
Our Gang Off Road nothing new
Piston’s Wild working on trails. Had a successful Show at Woodys with 93 vehiles
PNW Individual Members attended the memorial for Bob Brooks.
Push-n-Pulls had their annual kids Halloween party. 65-70 kids attended.
Sand Fleas working on their April rally.
Trailbreakers attended Bob Brooks memorial.
Vancouver 4 Wheelers went on the Naches Pass Run doing 160 miles of jeeping in a

Next Region Meeting Tuesday November 15
at 7 pm at 4 Wheel Parts Wholesalers.
