Default All Wheelers Liberty Run (Oct 9, 2010)

All Wheelers Off Road Club -
Liberty Run
October 9th, 2010

On October 9th, 2010 we met up at Foxracers house at Olmstead Place State Park for our Liberty 4x4 run.

We headed out about 10 AM for the 20 mile road trip to the Liberty trails.

We stopped on FS3507 to air down.

Eleven rigs on this run.
Member from the All Wheelers Off Road Club, Pacific Northwest Backroad Adventures and Yakima/Kittitas Forest Watch.

Here we moved a down tree from the trail.

We ran into the FoxxxTracker4WD group at Crystal Mountain.

Wrong way! Turning around.

Try this 4W319!

The Stairs!

The crowd watching from the top of the Stairs.

Some took the other route to the top of the Stairs.

Around 3:30 PM six of us decided we were going to head out.
Two headed back to the west side and four of us headed back towards Yakima.

East Siders aired up and ready to go!

We came across some beef on the road on the way out.

This was a fun run thanks to all who came.
I can not wait to do Liberty again.

Did a couple trucks with trailers park on the FS 35 road at about the 114 spur from your group? This would of been off the road and near a hillclimb playpit. One rig from Yakima and the other from Naches.

I do not know where the hill climb pit is is but it could have been them. They parked not far past the FS3507 on FS35. Was it not OK to park there?

I left my tow rig at Olmstead Place State Park so it would be safe.

I was good with it. No Problems. All is good!

We got a call reporting a bunch of "Rock Crawlers" tearing the place up. The call came in at 10:30 I got dispatched at 12:45. Got there at 1pm. Deputy Dan got there at 1:30. There was no visible damage which was reported. All was good. I just figured someone called in the report when they saw a group of rigs waiting for rigs to be unloaded from the trailers.

Some "concerned citizen" scared of wheelers! We get that stuff all the time.

To bad I did not know of your run up there. We were bored looking for something to do. Would of been nice to hook up and run with the group.

Next Time.

No "Rock Crawlers". The two Toyota trucks came up on trailers. One is too low geared to run the hi-way. The other learned to roll over this year and is good at it.

I did not think to let you know we were headed up that way. That was my first time up there and I was not for sure where we were running since Foxracer was the trail boss. I will post up next time on the Yakima/Kittitas Forest Watch forum so you and others on there know. Not sure why I didn't think of that before.

Here's a link showing where we went exactly: http://www.everytrail.com/view_trip.php?trip_id=842891

I've got a few vids to post as well, but here is one:

Cell phone shot of FoxRacer staging for the stairs.

Proof that I made it up that hill/bypass on my 1st try.
