Finally got a signed Record of decision and all the administrative appeals done, and ready to start implementing the resourse Management Plan.

I think we came out pretty well, considering where it could have gone and where it was headed in a couple of areas.

Standard is that there will be a TMP within five years for route designation.

We have a 3,971 acre area on the Rudio Plateau (north of Dayville), that will allow off route use between April 16 and November 30. Between December 1 and April 15, will be only on desiginated as open to year around travel. Will also be "triggers" in place for wildlife, etc that could eliminate off-route use.

We got some Class II use back on Little Canyon Mtn, just on the outskirts of Canyon City. Have a 2 acre area in the South Pit area for Class II only. We almost completely lost the whole area due to adjacent landowner issues. Some "triggers" in place here as well for noise and landowner concerns.

We will be getting 280 acres in two areas for rock crawls in the area between Kimberly and Spray. I walked one of these with BLM personnel and it will be a nice spot with the area going from mild to semi-dificult.

I will be getting with the District Manager at the next RAC meeting next week to see what the tentative implementation schedule is. I am sure we will be looking at trying to get ATV grant funding, and I will be looking for help and boots on the ground as we move forward.
